The Gathering Forces Part 4

As the army continued their journey they were finally close enough to see the Jungles of the former Bota Magna. They haven't met any opposition on their journey to the Great Jungle. The Rahkshi Brotherhood approach their soon to be new base and home. Krootai and Taruk are walking side by side and are talking. "Krootai I want to talk to you of something." "What is it brother?" "I assume that you may have realized that we can't rebuild our forces without Makuta." "Yes I do realize that but it hasn't really crossed my mind." "Well then I think I have found a solution for now at least." "Taruk what are you..." Just as this was said Taruk took his arm and reached within himself. Suddenly a screeching is heard, a scream of intense pain Krootai reaches for his ears but does it in vain. His head felt as if it were being torn apart, shredding piece by piece. On Spherus Nui the conversation on the gathering forces is interrupted by a scream on the horizon. Only Makuta Paradox reacted while the others stared on in curiosity. And at the site of the old universe a roar is heard, and something emerges from the sands that would have been wished dead.  Teridax and his Brotherhood are building their new base of operations. He turns and asks Nektann if he had heard something Nektann shrugs. As Taruk finishes pulling out a Kraata from himself the screaming stops. All of the Troops including Krootai fall to the ground as if they were released from something. As they recollected themselves birds and other small animals start falling from the trees for that their minds have been shattered by Taruk's intense moment of pain. As even Taruk recovers from the ordeal something big falls and the jungle shakes violently with the army thrown to the ground including Taruk. One of the giants of this land has fallen and anything that has a brain smaller than a small fruit has died for several bios. And for the cause of all this, a Kraata the first Kraata born of a Rahkshi is now cradled in the hands of Taruk who is looking upon it like a proud father. The Kraata recognizes who created it and slithers up its creators arm and rests on Taruk's shoulder. Taruk scratches under its chin while it's perched on his shoulder. Krootai gets back up and stares as if he was told that he was Toa and stutters "I.. thought... we.. I mean.. you.. couldn't do that?!?!" "Yes neither did I until as I was on my Island I thought what if, what if the Makuta were to all but vanish and we are left with their power and can't rebuild. So I decided to try and experiment on myself to become somewhat what the Fathers do." "And how many times have you tried this exactly?" "About 1,000 times." "How many actually succeed?" inquired Krootai who was starting to look worried which was unusual because there was nothing Krootai feared. "Including this one, uh twice." spoke Taruk proudly. "And what happened to the failed exactly?" "They exploded." Taruk said calmly. Krootai looked at Taruk in almost complete fear, "You mean to say that you jeopardized our entire army for that measly slug." "No because the first time it worked was not to long age so I knew that for sure now that nothing would happen."  "Oh well but you know you need to control your urges to do this random stuff!  Even you said we need to stay hidden until we have the army for an assault."  "I know but I wanted to show you."  Taruk now a little crestfallen.  Behind them a trooper is shivering on the ground as if having a seizure.  Taruk notices and looks at the fallen Rahkshi then it stirred no more.  Krootai remembers why he was second in command.  Taruk may be at times like a Toa with honor and kindness but whenever one was unfit Taruk would make sure one would suffer no more.

As Paradox recovers others stare on as he rises with aid from his Rahkshi.  Tahu asks "Are you okay and what in Mata Nui's name just happened!!"  Paradox recovers and answers, "I believe Taruk has found a way to become a Makuta," with dread in his voice.   "What do you mean by that?" Inquired Pohatu who was overseeing the construction as well.  Paradox concentrates on what to say next, He doesn't want to worry the others because he knew that if he was blunt the entire City would be in an uproar of terror and chaos.  "Well how do I put this, Taruk was or is second in command of the entire army of the Brotherhood."  "So now I think that Taruk who was already powerful enough with his power of extreme mathematics."  "Which means that whatever  is thrown at him he learns as he is attacked and can attack back with the very same power, style, the list goes on."  Tahu dared to ask in a grim voice, "So you mean to say that all hope is lost now that Teridax isn't holding Taruk's leash we are all doomed."  As he finishes others hearing this stopped everything and looked as if all hope was indeed lost.  "An army approaches!"
